1. Lithium-ion battery manufacturing
As the basic raw material of cathode material, lithium carbonate is generated by high temperature sintering:
Lithium iron phosphate (LFP): cycle life> 4000 times, low cost, accounting for more than 60% of energy storage batteries;
Ternary material (NCM/NCA): energy density of 280Wh/kg, suitable for high-end electric vehicles.
The growth rate of battery-grade lithium carbonate demand exceeded 30% for the 5 consecutive year, leading the global lithium consumption structure.
2. Traditional industrial fields
Special glass: adding 1.5% lithium carbonate can reduce the melting temperature by 40 ℃ and increase the light transmittance to 91.5%;
Ceramic glaze: enhanced glaze hardness (Mohs hardness ≥ 7), reduce thermal expansion cracks;
Lubricating grease: generate lithium-based grease, high temperature resistance of more than 260 ℃, used for heavy machinery bearings.
3. Medicine and Nuclear Industry
Treatment of mental illness: as an emotional stabilizer, effectively control the recurrence rate of mania (clinical effective rate> 70%);
Nuclear reactor: adjust the pH value of cooling water to weak alkaline, inhibit zirconium alloy pipeline corrosion.
