What are the models and specifications of Li ion battery cells?

How many kinds of battery models and specifications are there? In the final analysis, it is not clear, because each battery manufacturer has its own model and specifications, and some customized battery specifications. The following describes the lithium battery model and specification naming and the meaning of the letters and numbers above the battery, so that we can have a better understanding of the battery model and specification.

Model and specification of cylindrical lithium battery

The model name of cylindrical lithium batteries consists of three letters and five digits. IEC61960 stipulates that the rules for cylindrical and square batteries are as follows:

Cylindrical lithium battery, three letters followed by five numbers. Three letters, I for built-in lithium ion, l for lithium metal or lithium alloy electrode. The second letter represents the cathode material, C represents the drill, n represents nickel, M represents manganese, and V represents vanadium. The third letter is r for a cylinder.

The first two numbers are diameter, and the last three numbers are height, all in mm.

For example, ICR18650 is a general 18650 cylindrical battery with a diameter of 18mm and a height of 65mm.

3.6V means the nominal voltage is 3.6V.

C is the discharge rate of the battery when discharging, unit MAH, which is the discharge size or speed in unit time. For example, when the battery capacity is discharged within 1 hour, it is called 1C discharge; when the battery capacity is discharged within 5 hours, it is called 0.2C discharge.

Model and specification of square lithium battery

Model name of square battery: 6 numbers indicate the thickness, width and height of the battery respectively, unit: mm. If any of the three dimensions is greater than or equal to 100 mm, a diagonal line shall be added between the dimensions; if any of the three dimensions is less than 1 mm, the letter "t" shall be added before the dimension, and the dimension unit is one tenth of a millimeter.

Icp103450 represents a square secondary lithium-ion battery, the cathode material is drill, its thickness is about 10 mm, its width is about 34 mm, and its height is about 50 mm.

Icpo8 / 34 / 150 represents a square secondary lithium-ion battery. The cathode material is drill. Its thickness is about 8 mm, width is about 34 mm, and height is about 150 mm.

Icpt73448 represents a square secondary lithium-ion battery, the cathode material is drill, its thickness is about 0.7mm, width is about 34mm, height is about 48mm.
